How to start working together

Free 20-minute consultation, then a longer intake, then weekly (or as-needed) work. The full process is below and the consultation is the only commitment that matters today.

  • Free 20-minute call

You reach out (form, phone, email). I respond within 1–2 business days with available consultation slots. The call is 20 minutes, video or phone, and there’s no charge. I’ll listen, ask questions, and tell you whether I think I’m the right fit. If I’m not, I’ll point you toward someone who is.

  • Intake forms and scheduling

If we’re going to work together, I send you intake paperwork (history form, consent forms, billing setup) and we schedule the first session. Forms are filled out before we meet.

  • Initial assessment session(s)

The first 1–2 sessions are longer-form intake. For a child, this typically includes a parent-only session first, then a session with the child or young adult. I gather history, current concerns, school context, prior assessments, and existing diagnoses.

  • Treatment plan and ongoing work

After intake, I share a working plan: what we’ll focus on, how often we’ll meet, what role parents will play, what coordination with the school (if any) makes sense. Sessions are usually weekly to start; some shift to every other week or monthly as treatment progresses.

  • Periodic reviews

Every 6–8 weeks, we step back and assess: what’s working, what isn’t, what should change. Treatment is not open-ended; the goal is for you to leave with skills, systems, and clarity that hold up after we’re done.

Fees and insurance

In person, online, or both

  • Office

4370 Tujunga Avenue, Suite 110, Studio City, CA 91604. Easy parking, ground floor, accessible. The office is set up for kids — sensory-friendly, with materials for younger clients.

  • Telehealth

Available for any client residing in California. Telehealth is conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video platform; you’ll receive a secure link before each session. Telehealth works particularly well for parent coaching, EF coaching with teens, and consultation work. For younger kids and play-based therapy, in-person is usually a better fit.

  • Mixed schedules

Many families do a mix: in-person for the student, telehealth for parent sessions, telehealth for school-coordination calls. Whatever fits your week.
